Season Three of 30 Rock consists of 22 episodes and began airing on October 30, 2008 on NBC in the United States. This season was critically acclaimed and received 22 Emmy Award nominations, the most for a single show in 2009, and coincidentally, one nomination for each episode. The nominations broke 30 Rock's own record of 17 for the most nominated comedy in a single Primetime Emmy Award ceremony.
Story[]
Season Three continues from the epilogue of the last Season Two episode, Cooter. Jack Donaghy tries to get his job back, Liz Lemon tries to adopt a baby, and Tracy Jordan enjoys the success of his pornographic videogame as Jenna Maroney sues him for a lack of proper compensation. Jack finds a new love interest in Elisa (Salma Hayek) while searching for his biological father. Liz also finds a new love interest, Dr. Drew Baird, and Jenna is cast as a character loosely based on Janis Joplin.
