Elmore Rual Torn, Jr. (February 6, 1931 – July 9, 2019), known within his family and professionally as Rip Torn, was an American actor, voice artist, and comedian.
Torn was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Marsh Turner in Cross Creek (1983). His work included the role of the producer on The Larry Sanders Show, for which he was nominated for six Emmy Awards, winning in 1996. He provided the voice of Zeus in the 1997 Disney film Hercules.
On 30 Rock, he played Don Geiss.
