'Hank Hooper', a "family man" and Vietnam veteran, is head of Kabletown. He is often angered by Jack Donaghy's handling of TGS but, paradoxically, always seems happy on the surface (laughing incessantly, while directing thinly-veiled insults and threats to Jack and his staff). He values family and co-workers, one of his first changes after buying NBC is to make the executive dining lounge accessible to all employees, much to Jack's horror. He also likes giving long hugs. After his own children were ruined by trust fund syndrome, he expected to be succeeded by his granddaughter, Kaylie Hooper, who quickly becomes Jack's new rival.

He is loosely based on the similarly alliteratively-named founder of Comcast, Ralph J. Roberts; Comcast is sometimes said to be run as a "family business."
